Visited M. today to have Easter Dinner with her and her family, took some pictures of the dolls I made earlier (v. dorky ones too...) and then we watched the aforementioned serial and many UNIT bbies feels were had. But it was 1)Not as heartbreaking as I feared (or it helped that I could cling to M. when the feels hit me 2)Better overall than I expected too. I mean, the dinosaurs were a bit clunky but it made them a bit cute actually. And the beginning was actually nicely suspenseful, and then there was one scene that was very The Birds-esque.
Random fact: Wasn't that random soldier guy the cutest? The one who first runs into Sarah Jane and Finch and then later Brig et co near the end. And is all "What do *I* do D':" And then Brig irritably orders him to go make some tea, he suddenly breaks into a big relieved smile and runs off to do that. Oh bby. (and then he accidentally saves the universe when he comes back. *pats* good job!)
Oh, and it was my first ep. with Sarah Jane Smith... and I wasn't instantly charmed but didn't totally dislike her either so we'll see.
And then some pictures of my Three and Delgado!Master dolls
And then some pictures of my Three and Delgado!Master dolls, which were a gift to
regndoft on her 20th birthday.
First some process pics. I had no pattern so I just did everything freehand and hoped for the best.
I used slip/chain stitch for heads so the surface would be smoother, and single everywhere else.

Torso 1 + arms. Did the shoulders differently the second time. I also noticed that if I didn't want the start (waist in the torso) to get a pinched form, I had to do a row of single stitches on the start chain, then turn it around and continue on the other side... possibly there was a neater way to do that but that was the best I could think of.

Also annoying way to get the metal wire inside the legs, did that differently the other time (as in made both of them and then put it in after that. Possibly in two parts because I'd also put in stuffing to the upper parts while working down and the metal didn't go through? Don't actually remember. I'D It was all a bit troublesome).
I'd never actually done much if any embroidery either...

Things learned: Not a good idea to have all the threads go in and out from the same spot on the top of head because getting all the hair threads through the others later is a pain (literally, almost bled on the white thread but luckily noticed in time to wrap the finger...). Also reason why his hair is not as fluffy as it could be, in addition to just running out of time.

All ready except for the coat that I finished while visiting M. :)
Last things: I think I'm most proud of how the feet turned out. I also had no dark brown in my thread collection surprisingly, so Delgado!Master got black eyes instead.
Guest starring giant microbes paramecium Jo, Florence the tiny flu and Pestis the black death.

Sexy pose!

Who dares disturb his posing?!
Oh it's just the Master.

"What devious thing are you plotting this time?"

"Why, nothing, dear Doctor! Why don't we go out of this cell and admire the scenery on this nice planet?"
"*sigh* Sure."
Sometime later...

(Dammit Master :I)

"Listen now, why don't we all calm down?"
After the Doctor convinces the natives not to eat them.

*awkward silence*

"Doctor...?"

"?!"

"Hey, what are you doing?"
"...nothing Jo."

The End.
