Pictures of meee

I realized I never got around to posting any pictures from my costume at this year's Ropecon (Finnish roleplaying convention). It was a sort of... Victorian bustle thing without straining too much for absolute accuracy, though not really deserving to be called steampunk either(?) I think. Secretly, it's an alt!human Tardis cosplay but that's embarrassing.
My mom made the skirt, bustle and necktie-thing, partially without a pattern. Appreciate them.
My sister had to snap the pictures kind of in a hurry because I needed to get to the convention in time for a 11 am OS star trek tabletop game...funnily enough the only time I saw another Doctor Who cosplayer (Elevent Doctor). And while we were throwing dice on characteristics he got "strange alien race" (ended up being an andorian security officer. I was Captain Gingerella. =3=
But I digress. We didn't have time for anything too fancy for the pictures, and the only setting with enough light was on the balcony.

(And the obligatory sepia picture) It was a hot, humid day, those curls ended up in the most horrible tangle in the course of the day and I couldn't eat properly because my clothes were so tight, but it was totally worth it.
Incidentally, the bustle is actually more of a glorified apron in design, as you can see from the back view.

Ps. Talking about the curls, I'm going to add some... process pictures?
After being in curlers overnight and before my sister did anything to them (in her words the weird little girl look):

AFTER the day at the con when I'd freed them but not yet combed them out.

And lastly when I did go through that painful process, they just sort of. Poofed. But all my pictures with an actual camera kind of failed to capture the true poofiness so you get computer cam instead.

and thus conclude tonight's gpoys.
