Notes: For
sharpeslass, hope it doesn't disappoint too much.
It was a day like any other. The obligatory demon attack, in which no-one got nearly mortally injured, which was good but also meant the fight was boring as hell.
Gojyo got a painful bruise on his elbow, but that was from hitting his door against the car door when he was trying to calm down the monkey and Hakkai suddenly made a sharp turn.
Like hell he was sorry about that either. And no, he had not been pouting about it, so Goku could just shut up.
Seemed like it would take untill late at night before they reached the next village as well. Figured.
By the time they got to the inn, even Goku was tired enough not to whine about being hungry, which hopefully didn't mean the world was about to end here and now. Gojyo for one didn't want to deal with that right now.
Inn looked old, if clean and well tended as far as Gojyo could judge. Hakkai looked pleasantly surprised anyway, which kinda gave him a clue.
He listened with one ear as Hakkai said something complimentary to the receptionist, an eager looking kid, who beamed and explained something about their family having owned it since time immemorial or something. Well, good for them, Gojyo thought and yawned.
They got two rooms, which was okay since he got to room with Hakkai, thank the gods. Room looked okay, continued the theme of old yet clean and well tended. Hakkai'd probably say the owners had pride in the place, or some such. Gojyo trailed after him into the bathroom, and found the man inspecting an actual bathtub, which was something you didn't see too often in cheap inns.
"Hm." Gojyo said noncommittally.
"A bath wouldn't hurt." Hakkai answered with a smile. Then he peered at the water heater on the wall. "Looks like there might not be enough water for two baths, thought." His eyes went from the tub to Gojyo, who rolled his eyes.
"Uhuh. As if that's gonna be a problem."
"Yes, I guess not. The tub seems large enough."

If anyone is wondering about the duckie's presence, I'll use the explanation I gave to
orvida:
long answer: I was going for homely with the interior, and as a child of a family of packrats, homely for me is compiled of worn down, well loved...stuff, which may or may not be relevant to the current situation. Usually too much of it too.
For instance, the inn's bathroom has a rubber duck, because a family with a child might rent the room and the child might want to play with it.
Short answer: I just wanted to draw it there. :9
