On computer:
Things I found through yaoi_daily, or on scanlation sites I stumbled on following links from there.
Have particularly liked Tsuki to Mizu no Yoru ( http://www.storminheaven.net/sih/mtp/tsuki_to_mizu/index.htm ). A two volume shounen ai(ish) manga about water sprites, or kappa (squee, mythology!).
The art is very beautiful, a bit sketchy, just as I often like it the most. Many of the characters are children, and they really seem to behave rather like real children would (as far as I can tell). Overall, the stories have a rather subtle, a bit subdued and charmingly innocent mood. Just wish there were more...
Also rather liked Natsukashi machi no rozione
( rozionehttp://www.storminheaven.net/sih/mtp/rozione/index.htm )
(which isn't shounen ai...gasp) since the art was pretty, and the stories were entertaining enough.
and then unto the squee-territory...and, if anyone is, for some unfathomable reason, actually reading this...
Been catching up on naruto chapters, (had read to 306 last time). 309 was deliciously mysterious, of course. At 311 I was wondering whether Sai is stealing Naruto's role as the clown of team 7 (the one who says stupid things), and whether that would be a good or a bad thing? But I suppose not really...The training was quite interesting, and the Akatsuki members likewise
(seems the only thing they have in common is being individual). The "we miss him so!" moment in chapter 319 was appropriately touching (sasukefan here, nevermind)...Not to forget, Shikamaru is looking more and more cute (ashamed of the stupid reactions, really...)
In short, this series is still making me say awwww...(with varying feelings)
which has always been the main attraction.
And lastly, I read about half of Saiyuki reload vol.3 (which I bought). Liked the parts I had already seen in the anime (had already, due to my short memory, forgotten partly it was even prettier in the manga :) ) I think I was reading with a big, dorky smile on my face...
After that I read the burial prologue
(You may guess what happened)
As more clever people than me have already spoken of it, undoubtedly, there is no reason to. But really, Ke'yuu is so alike Hakkai (or Tempou, even more so),that it is quite baffling. Is there a (sinister) reason behind that? And the character itself...The best main bad guy ever? (as far as I'm concerned, yes.)
As a certain fanfic made me realize recently, (unless I misunderstood anything) HE started it all, apparently just because he could. All this big mess with gods and youkai and ancient magics in it, was started by one human (and I knew that, just didn't really understand).
Also loved the interaction with Koumyou (Who am I kidding, it was Saiyuki, I loved it all. Though I dare say the Burial chapters are especially lovable?)
The result? Me all giddy and jumping about...will save the rest for later, I think.
