Now this is unexpected...

A few days ago I was looking for scans of the Saiyuki Reload Burial chapters, and stumbled upon this community,
scans_daily
Where there are also lots of cracky, (and not so cracky) scans, mostly from american superhero comics...I've been reading those scans quite a lot these past few days.
I thought I wasn't interested in them. o_O
Now I kinda am...I especially would like to see more of this series (?) called Authority...is that shallow of me? >//>; Too bad it seems rather expensive in the one shop where I think I could buy it...
And it's not only because they give me nostalgic memories of the comics me and my little brother used to read long ago...even if I was never too crazy about them (a lot seemed too...I don't know, dark, to my taste), I was at an age I would read just about anything. And there were SOME I do remember rather liking.
A lot of my brothers comics were random volumes inherited from my cousins, so cliffhangers were awful sometimes D:
And okay, I did like Teenage Mutant Ninja Heroes enough to buy a pile of them from the local secondhand shop. :)
It's interesting how when people talk about manga, they often like a certain mangaka, and their works. In american comics fandom the case seems to be that people like a character and hope like hell they're drawn/written in a good/acceptable way. >_>
This just how it seems to me as an outsider, and from observing the comments on this particular community, of course ^_^;;
