I was visiting Helsinki (capital city of Finland, etc.) today and after visiting two second hand stores realized I had no desire to find new clothes, knowing my parents would complain about itbesides I suck at finding clothes I can actually wear... =_=;
This was so shocking I decided to visit bookstores instead. And buy anything irresistably prettydamn the price. Luckily, despite scouring two bookstores and another two antique bookstores.
(Note, actual space to look at the books is nice...not having to push aside chairs, other books and crates of other booksand other customers to see them even more so. But I guess one works with the space they have. *shrug*)
And the one book I DID buy? :D ♥
Bibliography of J.C. Leyendecker. American illustrator from the beginning of the 1900's. Lush details, adorable girls, positively scrumptious guys (bwee~ ♥), what's not to love? Did I mention the lovely poses and epressions? (oh the reference-ness~ :D ♥)
Aforementioned guys often appear a bit disinterested in the females, or does it just seem that way knowing the artist's sexual orientation? Oh well. Ain't got no problem with that. >3>;
Also wanted to find good book about art deco illustrationsto drool over for reference/inspiration purposes, but no such luck.
