Jeeves & Wooster

Excuse me, but I just saw the ninth episode (season 1) of Jeeves & Wooster, and have to squee about it.
Squee! :D
Also, is it just me or is the slash rather easy to see in this one? Must be all the fanfiction I've been reading ^_^;

Well, first Jeeves resigns over a disagreement about Bertie's trombone playing (not good), and B. moves into a cottage on the seaside. With a replacement valet who's awful, of course.
In the meantime Jeeves is working for one of Bertie's friends at a mansion nearby. This friend, Lord Chuffnell aka. Chuffy has some romantic troubles, cue the usual shenanigans...
Anyway, two things (among others) stood up to me:

1) Bertie is talking with Jeeves about Chuffy's problem. If he loves the girl, and the girl loves him back, why can't they just get together?
Jeeves explains that the friend feels that as he isn't in a good financial situation, unlike the girl, he can't propose to her.
...the way Jeeves said all this, I could have almost thought he was talking about some other people entirely...o_O!
But, I chalked this up to my imagination (mind you, later aforementioned friend wasn't at all worried about the money issue, when Bertie asked him about it.)

2) Then later, Chuffnell is writing a love letter, according to Jeeves's instructions. He, however, has omitted the phrase "Your name is twined around my heart like the roses on a cottage door."
Because he didn't feel it fit his situation. =_=
Hm? Maybe not his situation, no.

And the ending of course made me coo like the sappy sap I am (required standard? d'aaw :') ♥...but enough about my delusions ;P
and back to making demotivators~
